MVP Competition

The unknown county will run an MVP Competition to see what PlanetCricket Member's preform the best.
It will cover all three formats and will only include games played for the county, not international matches.
At the end of the season an Overall MVP will be crowned, as well as First Class, One-Day and Twenty20 MVP's.

R.R.P.O: 4.51 to 5.00 - 1 Point
Notes: Econ. Rate - A minimum of 3 overs must be bowled.

PlanetCricket Fight Back To Win Opening Match

Match Summary

PlanetCricket have endured a tough first couple of sessions, to fight back and claim victory in their first county cricket match of the season.

Late on the first day Warickshire were sitting handsomely on 366 for 4, before the PlanetCricket county dismissed them for 380. E. Morgan was the pick of the batsmen scoring 119, while G. Aggarwal finished off the tail taking 4 for 101.

PlanetCricket came out and looked to play slowly. Their innings was built around a 155 forth wicket partnership between B. Hedger and captain-player C. Gray. In an innings that saw every batsmen get a start, they ended up with 410.

Warickshire never looked comfortable in their second innings limping to 118 all out, only setting the PlanetCricket county 152 to win. The star with the ball was B. Gutteridge who took 5 wickets for just 29 runs.

PlanetCricket comfortably reached the target with 5 wickets intact even though they lost two wickets on the same score with just a few runs needed. Their innings was anchored by A. Cricketer who made 62 at the top of the order.

Man of the Match was awarded to E. Morgan, as a consolation in a losing for top scoring in both of Warickshire's innings.

My View

It was a pretty comfortable win first up after a horrid start. Looking towards our next game ,a one-dayer I will probably look to drop one batsmen in place of a bowler, as well as give someone else a go with the gloves. Blake's bowling may be a handy 6th or 7th option and he did not fare to well in the county championship match.

Ok I'm not sure if it does but it would make sense if the best fielder was at slip, hence why I gave him the gloves.
When I play as New Zealand it is Taylor that is at first slip, which is the same as real life.
