Planetcricket GFX design Team

A few members, including myself, were discussing in the signatures and avatars forum, about the idea of having a team of Planet Cricket GFX designers. This would therefore mean that we would have to organize such things as signatures an avatars for use on this forum, for the next tours and big events in cricket, by any member.

All I am asking for is backing from the admin and staff for this idea, and maybe more awareness shown therefore, to the sub-forum, as more quality in terms of work would be coming out of there.

If you all agree to the idea, one last thing I would ask would be some recognition to the team of GFX designers so that all members know who they are, such as a small line of text under the username, as the news team does.

Thanks in advance, and I would appreciate for the idea to be recognized and thought over.

I think it isn't quite a bad idea.. but the fact is that after the world cup it won't have any use will it. Because there won't be any big tournaments left.. maybe the ashes only.

Yes but I am sure that English fans, for example, would want to sport a signiture for when England play India and the same for Indian fans.

If this idea were to form then it's not only signatures that could be made. It could be used for technical requests like banners for the site and other such things.

I dont see the need for this myself. Of course you are welcome to start a thread where people can upload Avatars but it certainly does not require yet another subforum. This is exactly what the sig/artwork forum is for.

Kev, I am not asking for a sub-forum just some recognition of the team and then the packs that we will be releasing publicized on planetcricket, and a small recognition under our usernames.

Also, we would be willing to help with the presentation of the forum, as a whole.

That was a quick change of heart!

I'm with Kev on this. I just can't see the need for it. Everything people need graphics wise can be found in the Artwork forum and most people know who the best are. Also, I don't think there will be any graphical changes on the forum itself for a long time seeing as we've not had the current skin and banner very long.

well we do need someone to be looking into this part of the forum which is rapidly becoming more popular... as its starting stuff like SOTW competetions we need someone to have a little power to edite and sticky the stuff in the forum and organise it..

at the end of the day you dont need it. the patch teams forum is quiet dead and its hardly worth having a team of people to make sigs when its quite straightforward to make sigs. (gets ready for abuse)
