Positives

Online Play
Shot variation and placement
Defensive shots can go for 4
Easy to change fields and can be set to a player
New shots: sweeps, advance shot

Negatives

Dreadful pacing and AI
TBH I havent noticed and thing wrong with the pacing or AI, i think the AI is actually very good, very realistic in fact.
Poor fields poorly deployed
Only on PC version it seems as there is nothing wrong with the 360 version from what i've seen
Bowling lengths completely wrong
Again havent noticed it, the AI often bowl very good line and lengths in the test matches on test difficulty
No ducking
No leaving (loses confidence)

Now that is annoying, but not a massive problem, as you only lose 1 bar of confidence, as long as you play defensive shots you dont lose confidence.
No bowling order so spinners open the attack for the computer if they are the best bowler
In test matches there is a proper bowling order, australia open with McGrath and Clark, even though warne and lee have higher skill level, which is the problem in the ODI mode.
Catching meter too quick for keeper/slips
Catching meter same for hard and easy catches

Thats down to skill level, if you suck at it you'll say its too quick but i am actually pretty decent at the catching side of the game so i am happy with it.

They're my views on the flaws you pointed out, i am a big fan of the game and am really enjoying the test match side of the game, my favourite part of the game actually. I definetly prefer test matches to the ODI side.

I have to agree KP, I find playing Test matches is more enjoyable on this. ODI's are just a joke.

Don't buy it if you want to play test matches. Only bother if you are interested in 10 over slogs.

How are 20 and 30 over matches because that is about as long as I go.

1. You haven't noticed them scoring at 10 rpo in tests?
2. Definitely not just a problem with the PC version, the fields are shocking on the 360.

I'm surprised with all this talk of 10+ rpo in Test matches. They go at 5 an over at the most when I play.

Perhaps it's more to do with the fields you set or you've found a way to bowl, but I've only experienced them trying to score boundaries off every ball, no matter how good it is. Strangely, I don't really want to put all my fielders on the boundary!

have you guys tried playing on other levels than test maybe they have made some mistakes on this level???

Mines the same as EvertonFan, the ai teams only hit at about 4.5-5 an over in my test matches, they do risk some stupid runs though, Brian lara got run out in both innings in my test match against WI.

two games in and I'm really really REALLY disappointed with the game ... not only is the gameplay seemingly worse than before, but yet again, there's no stats!! GAH! If the original BLIC game wasn't so fecking easy and had no intelligence to change the field after you get to 75, I'd just play that.

Stats are what cricket is ALL about ... !!

I also have difficulty reading much of the text on the PS2 version ... it's too small and also the colour balance of white on light grey is just awful.

So so so so so so disappointed ...

I'm encouraged by that. You're using test difficulty? Are there defensive shots ever or is it just all attacking shots that don't reach the boundary?

I only played 5 overs of a test the other day, i didnt see one defensive shot.

Just played an odi v new zealand 50 overs. Bowled them out for 80. Before that i had scored 315. And this was restricting myself to one and two's from overs 15-45.

urgh ... I'm sending the game back for a refund ... it's awful ...

Yes, there are some nice features ... e.g. run outs, throwing to both ends, shot area selection ... but the negatives outweigh the good by about a million times.
