Yep - you will have accidentally selected some text. That's a temporary replacement for the quick quote button, there's an improved version of that function coming in the next XenForo update.

Left click on their username in a post, and a box should appear with a 'Start a conversation' option. I say should because it works for me.

I not get any start a conversation option in that box.
