Planetcricket Playlist [Top 100 songs]

My only problem with this system is that there are too many songs in the world, and there aren't likely to be enough songs with 2/3 nominations at any point.

There's always going to be one person who goes on about "why people haven't picked this song" or "this song sucks". It's all just opinion. I'd like to see what the top 100 songs turn out to be.

I'll nominate my songs soon :) I just have to whittle down my favourites to 20...

Hey Julie - Fountains of Wayne
The Chain - Fleetwood Mac
Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry
Supersonic - Oasis
Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd
What's My Age Again? - Blink182
Handle This - Sum41
Minority - Green Day
Want You Bad - Offspring
Beautiful Day - U2
Hurt - Johnny Cash
Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes
Crazy Crazy Nights - Kiss
Smooth - Santana ft. Rob Thomas
Back in Black - AC/DC
Blitzkreig Bop - Ramones
You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet - Bachman-Turner Overdrive
Just A Day - Feeder
Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol
Beer - Reel Big Fish

There are probably plenty more that deserve to be in this list, but these are the 20 I can think of without spending hours and hours looking into it.

I didn't want two songs from one band/artist. Johnny Cash's version of 'One' is better than U2's anyway.

What's My Age Again? - Blink182
Minority - Green Day

Two amazing calls right there, Treva!

I'd like to add -

Dear Maria, Count Me In - All Time Low (this won't be a popular choice, if at all known to be honest)

u missed "the one" from u2 :p

Hard To Find Her - Zed. Yea!! Man, haven't heard that song in ages. That used to be one of my favourite songs.

Zed were one of my favourite bands before they split up, but I have Nathan King's solo album and Atlas' debut album :D (previous members of Zed)

Prefer 'Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't)' if I'm honest. Not really listened to much of All Time Low, but they have some half decent songs.

Pretty much my favorite band of the minute, more excited for them at Leeds than Blink

Gutted I can't go to Leeds. Was going to buy a weekend ticket but I get back from New York on the Sunday, quickly destroying any hopes of seeing Blink any time soon. It is such an amazing line-up: Blink, Paramore, Weezer, Guns and Roses, Mumford & Sons, You Me At Six, The Libertines, Dizzee Rascal, All Time Low, The Gaslight Anthem, Biffy Clyro, Queens of the Stone Age. Most of those bands I absolutely love, and the others I can quite happily listen to.

I might actually break down in tears at some point on the Saturday in New York when I realise I am missing Blink live :(
