EPISODE NO.2

rameez.png
Welcome to the 2nd Episode of Cover Drive.A fantastic first match, batsmen had treat to bat in Sheikh Zayed stadium Abu Dhabi and for spectator an awesome match too. Both team batted well but Sialkot Stars were ahead by 28 runs and thanks to Afridi,Jayasuriya partnership.
What you want to say Dean and Waqar on the opening cracker.

deans.png
Fantastic Watch such matches and its beauty of T20,you can't say which team is gonna win until last over of the game.Bowlers must fell sorry about the pitch. It really was a night mare for bowlers to bowl on a flat desert pitch and that too when conditions are favoring them.

waqar.png
Hi,guys you are absolutely right even all time best bowlers may hit for plenty on such tracks under such conditions but one must have to say an excellent match first Sialkot put 209 on the board then at one stage Lions were looking to get it easily but some collapse in the end and very good bowling from Ntini and Afridi seals the match for Sialkot Stars.

deans.png
Afridi was terrific both with bat and bowl,He is really a T20 King but his batting is bit inconsistant.

rameez.png
One must have to say he bated when team needed him, look at T20's last three Pakistan's matches and even now Sialkot needed a good start in the beginning of this big tournament and he deliver well.

deans.png
That's true and what about Jayasuriya, over 40 but batted perfectly for Srilanka and now for Sialkot Stars too.

waqar.png
Well its good to see that two best T20 players are giving their best in opening match.

rameez.png
Don't forget about Hussey's batting, not slogging but very well timed 34 runs for just 20 balls and it might be the difference,I guess.

waqar.png
Technically one of the most sound batsman in world cricket and with good Big Bash experience I know he was going to score quickly but perfectly for Sialkot.

deans.png
Yeah his feet movement and hand and eye co-ordination is perfect and its joy to bat him in any form of the game.He will perform well for Sialkot in all the format and best thing he is a team man.

waqar.png
Lets not forget about Lion's bowling, they were good but in patches.it was just Dale Steyn who bowled perfectly, his line and length was very good and got Wicket in its first over.

deans.png
Even that young guy Tanvir got wicket of Manzoor in his first over and first over of the match too but he was hit for plenty.Seems to me he was bowling too short on the pitch which was having nothing for bowlers.Hope he will learn from his mistakes.

rameez.png
Now what about to Lion's innings? Good but continuous lose of wickets or just tried too much slog after watching 200+ on the board to chase?

deans.png
Continuous wickets were their main problem, each time a pair looked to win the match for them he just got out by Sialkot bowlers but they still a good Job to score 181 runs.

waqar.png
Started brilliantly by Salman butt, a good fire brust to score 26 for just 10 balls but they need some one to play an anchor sheet role out there in the Middle.

deans.png
Even all top order batsmen got start but they can't able to convert it into wining one. Azhar Ali has realy impressed me he batted a bit slow but it was good to watch him.

rameez.png
What about Younis and Umar?

deans.png
Looking very dangerous but got plumbed by Afridi and that's it for him.Umar I am not sure was in some sort of extra pressure I think other wise he have germs to score a match winning knock and we may watch in upcoming games.

rameez.png
AB de Villiers, tried his best. He is the Hussey of this team. but rest were just gone for nothing.

waqar.png
Well bowling of Sialkot was very good, they didn't panic in hard situations.Keeping their head cool, help them to attain the victory spot.

Karachi Kings have very well balanced team but Trolls have very strange and surprise lineup.I was expecting to see Dwayne Bravo and Shahid Yousaf in the side but this surprise may worth them a victory who knows.

waqar.png
Both the teams have very good bowling lineups. Trolls have 5 top quality bowler and they may use Clarke as their 6 option while in Karachi Kings all can bowl except Ahmed and Umair.Karachi will have some edge as they have good variety ranges from leg to off spin and seemer to pacer.

deans.png
Hope to see another interesting contest pitch looks well balanced unfortunately from batsmen point of view we may not be able to see 200+ this time but it will be a thriller I guess. Pitch has equal opportunity for bowler and batsman and its up-to them who will take the crown.

I think i'm gonna say that the trolls will win in this one, they look to have a better batting attack but the Kings for me have a slight advantage on the bowling side of things.

With only four overseas players allowed I had to bulster my batting line-up first and foremost, meaning that Bravo or Johnson had to miss out. I chose Johnson because he is a wicket taker and he can bat. Shahid Yousuf's averages aren't that impressive, so we'll have to wait and see how our batsmen perform this game.

I reckon we have the upper hand. If we look at the match-ups I think we have the stronger team:

Smith > Malik
Haddin > Butt
Clarke > Watson
Johnson > Arafat
Iqbal > Khan

And that leaves us with two extra proper batsmen. None of this all-rounder nonsense. Only department we lack is spin. If we can limit Kaneria to not many wickets we should win.

Nice update Aouni. Look forward to the game.

I like your interest towards your teams.
Thanks for appreciation.

Piss of Jack :p My bowling is easily better then yours, the only difference is you have Smith and Haddin, the rest are no better then my bunch, just I have lots of part time bowlers in my side ;)

Watch as we piss all over you. You're bowlers are nowhere near the standard of our batsmen whereas our bowlers are somewhere near your batsmen's standard.

We should win this comfortably.

Welcome to Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, 2nd thriller of PPL is about to start in just few minutes.
Let get down to the Middle for Pitch and Weather Report and after that for Toss.

whte.png

Day:

14545069.png

Clouds will remain throughout the day and evening though chances of rain is only about 10%.

Night:

19634849.png

Night will be more cooler and it will be perfect for batsmen as well as for bowlers to obtain maximum from the conditions.Rain chances will increase to about 21%.Dew factor will be very less.

pitch.png

Pitch looks perfect for both batsmen and bowlers.Early bowl may trouble batsmen but as the bowl gets little older it will be easy for batsmen to score.Pitch have some odd cracks which may help spinners too.You may not able to see 200+ again but it will be a cracker of match until any team plays below par.

toss.png

Welcome You all to this exciting match,Team captains and Match Referee is ready for the Toss.
Here the special coin Tossed up in the air.Tails called by Paul Collingwood.
Tails it is and Karachi Kings have won the toss.
What you would like to do?
Paul Collingwood: We bat first, this pitch still looks very good for batting just first 5 over will be hard for us but if we can able to survive, we have very good chance to win the match.

Misbah-Ul-Haq:
I think good toss to lose.It is very difficult to choose what to do on this pitch but we will try our best to play excellent in first 5 overs of the game, get 2 to 3 wickets and then contain them to under 130 which will be good to chase with out very good batting lineup.

News From The Middle: Karachi Kings have won the toss and elected to bat first.

GOT HIM!! Oh no, wait, sorry. It's just a dot ball. My bad.

Danish Kaneria is facing

14.2
Mohammad Khalil to Danish Kaneria,
He walks across his stumps trying to paddle it away, but misses it. And the keeper's appealing! There was a sound as the ball passed the batsman, and the umpire is unmoved. Replays show it was off the pad. Good call.
14.3
Mohammad Khalil to Danish Kaneria,
The batsman has a wild slog, and gets enough to send the ball to the fence for four! Not the best looking shot, but it certainly was effective.

14.4
Mohammad Khalil to Danish Kaneria,
Full toss, the batsman doesn't cash in and hits it straight to the man in the deep. Only two.

14.5
Mohammad Khalil to Danish Kaneria,
Tucked away to the leg side, they're running hard, but only manage a single.Edged and through the vacant third slip region. Just after the skipper had removed a man from that region. Don't you just hate that? One run.

14.6
Mohammad Khalil to Saeed Ajmal,
Scorching bouncer, the batsman clearly didn't expect that and just sways out of the way at the last moment!

:16th Over:
15.1
Sohail Tanvir to Danish Kaneria,
Biffed down to long-off, easy single.

15.2
Sohail Tanvir to Saeed Ajmal,
The run the first hard, they come for two, the fielder has the ball, they call for the third...will they get there!?! The throw is in, it's wide, the batsman makes the dive...and he's in! Excellent running, and poor fielding. 3 more!
15.3
Sohail Tanvir to Danish Kaneria,
Slapped away through the offside for a glorious boundary! Lovely shot. The captain's fuming now and removes a man from third slip to cover that region.

15.4
Sohail Tanvir to Danish Kaneria,
I don't think he'll be attempting any more bouncers after that. The batsman has hooked that away magnificently for six!

15.5
Sohail Tanvir to Danish Kaneria,
Short ball, worked off the hips for a single

15.6
Sohail Tanvir to Saeed Ajmal,
Splendid shot for four!
