Yeah, here are the rules:

At the end of a tied regular match and before the Super Over, each team nominates a "mini team" that consists of three batsmen and a bowler who bat and bowl in their teams' Super Over, respectively. The team that scores the most runs in their Super Over is the winner of the match.

About rule you are right but I have a little change in it and that is one batsman will bat for an over if he went out there will be minus four runs.
And on Kaneria's ability,he have lowest batting skill then all in the Karachi team but its game of cricket and it can happen like if Gillespie can score double hundred as night watchman why he can't
