To be honest in ashes one i removed background with bacground eraser tool but in freddie bone i cutted it with software we all use.

use the polygonal lassol tool it is the best tool for cuting

Good job, just don't re-size the images. I can see Ashraful's cut is not maintaining aspect ratio and also work a bit more on hair as dylan said. Read the tutorial, it might help you out.
