Really great game that! Hasan Khan you beauty!

Lahore, Lahore, Lahore... When will they find their 1st win? I hope it's today.

180 would've been more confortable total for Lahore on this pitch. But seeing their track record 163 is a good effort. So far Islamabad are at the driving seat with Ronchi all set to win for them again.

I really hate my life.

Open Cricinfo at 10:05 IST, Asad Shafiq just got out. Will start watching the match later.

Open Cricnfo at 10:50 IST, KP smashing balls. OMG. Lets watch the match.

KP gets out first ball I watch. :facepalm

Same here lol. Though Happy to see Watson with that knock. Karachi is a good team I only hate it cause of their channel. They make every Karachi kings thing a Headline.

Will Sarfaraz ever move on from Anwar?

I was watching an interview where Sarfaraz said that he really like the option Anwar provides - and wants to have him on the side similar to Abdul Razzaq of yesteryear. I know Anwar is definitely a more than capable all-rounder (Example - one of finest t20 innings) plus he can definitely bowl a couple or 3 overs in the middle - already he does seem a liable to have in the side when there are better options.

As I saw, Gul's six wickets were more from luck than any special skill, though he mixed the slower and faster ones well, but his old magic is no where to be seen specially his T20 specialist yorkers. I personally believe that MS shouldn't have changed their winning combination. Gul death overs are no more what he was used to be. Junaid Khan is better prospect and why not giving him a new ball with Irfan, He can give you early breakthroughs but I have a gut feeling that MS will go with Gul now in the next match atleast and can pay the heavy price if they persist with Gul.

Fully agree. A little sad to see Umar Gul not have the pace either. Haver his fastballs were late 120 early 130's and on top of that no yorkers. Most likely he will get another game and go for around 30-40 runs. I am pretty sure Junaid Khan was injured hence they held him off for the game.[DOUBLEPOST=1520537410][/DOUBLEPOST]Although Karachi has lost this one, I don't really mind because it means that all teams (including LQ) having a chance to make the playoffs.

They both have played for the same side many times. Sarfaraz likes Anwar.
IMO, there are already many batsmen in Quetta, they lack a good fast bowler, Mir Hamza is what they need. They should give Mir a long run.

The moment Karachi Kings sent Afridi to bat, The game was over for them. They lost all the temperament after seeing 180 on the board. Looked a total confused collapsed side. Went unplanned and paid the price or the plan backfired. Somehow, I felt after Quetta innings that Afridi himself had said to management that he would like to open innings. It was an emotional decision anyway and distorted all the combination. Also, Its utterly disappointing to see Aamir's laziness in every PSL game. At times, It feels He is just doing a 9 to 5 Job in every game. Quetta has picked up extremely well. Watson and Peterson are cornerstone to them, While Sarfraz's over shouting behind stumps reminding me 92 World Cup jumps by Kiran Morree as well as useless appeals by Nyan Mongia.

On another topic, Most calm and sensible captain I have witnessed in this entire tournament so far is Shoaib Malik. He is leading from front. Knows how to motivate and extract performance from his players. Backed with Coaches like Moody and Akram. Its a lethal combination. Loved the way Malik is leading and performing with MS

PS: I wish Nawaz gets the same aggression and skills in international matches. He was always good in PSL but a liability in International Matches.

PS 2: Guys, Anyone remember Sultan Zarawani (UAE Captain in WC 1996)? He couldn't bat and bowl yet was the captain. Was a spinner and used to come to bat at number 7 and 8 and mostly failed attempts. Imad sometimes becomes that Sultan and infact most of the times... lolzzz

Gul has lived his era. He had his ups and downs and he will be remembered as a Match Winner in shorter formats of the game and yeah Its sad he couldn't prolong his career. I didn't see a single good performance from him post WC 2011 Semi Final.

Junaid Injured? maybe, I thought the sixes hit to him in Quetta game changed MS management mind to try out Gul in place of him. But with six wickets in the bag, Gul will be the first choice now. Lets see how he comes up

Gul's luck of taking 6 wickets in T20 isn't over yet :p

Anwar Ali is a decent bowler who can bowl couple of overs or even 3 at the start or so. His batting is what he needs to look more IMO. If he can be a decent finisher he'll be a very good all round cricket with his fielding a big plus...

It was pre-decided.
