Guys i just wanted some of your comments about wether i should buy a PSP right now...i have got a PS2 but a crappy gameboy as a handheld console...theres a good deal in Argos which is that you get the PSP Gigapack + 2 games + 1 Gigabytes memory card for 199.96 (pounds)...please comment...

IMO great if you want to watch movies and things, although memory cards are a little expensive its great for movies and music, but at the moment there arnt a great variety of games, and when there is a good game coming out, the game always is a disappointment, itll get better overtime :D

DS is pretty good, it depends what you're after. If you want some serious gaming, go after DS (you can also play GBA games on it, but not compatible with earlier Gameboys :( ). If you want music, movies and all that stuff, go for an IPod or a smartphone.

I think the PSP is a superb piece of technology, but it isn't worth the money in my opinion. I'd sooner have an Ipod any day, no real extra expense after the initial purchase (assuming you own music already) whereas with the PSP you have to shell out ?30 for a game to play on in.

Not to brag or nothing

But i have both hehe ;)

How was he bragging anyway?

I'd say get a PSP, despite the lack of any good games for it, it's movie and mp3 playing capabilites make it a worthwhile buy. You can get 1gb memory sticks for under ?40 now and believe me, it's worth it. I definitley think that you should buy one.

Oh, and I also own an Ipod Nano; They are miles better than PSP's. :p

I don't think so. I think the PSP is crap. It is just a smaller PS2 in which the games are actually worse for it. You don't get hardly any of the things you get in the PS2 game in the PSP game.

people agree with me on this, PSP Graphics are not that good, my laptop has better GFX then it, because I 'know i've played on PSP, sux, only thing good is it's portable (so is my laptop), good for music and media stuff (so is my laptop) so just get a laptop if you want a portable thing or wait for PS3.

so what? better GFX, more memory, Internet use alot of things.. you can get a cheap one like mines 600 pounds not bad for a laptop.

I'd say if you want to play decent games - buy a PSP. You will have fun. Its only other tremendous use is its WiFi browsing. Thats the best - supports Javascript and Flash. And its good for those late night...ahem...web browsing.. ;)

Rest all features of PSP are crap - music, video etc. Photo browsing is fine however.

On to games - Its got some good, exciting games with good graphics - GTA, Socom, Virtua Tennis, Burnout, NFS, Lumines, Wipeout to name a few.

Bottomline - its a decent gaming device with modest-to-crap other features. I have it and I absolutely love it. However, not many compelling games on it.

Never bought the DS as it looks like a 9 year old girls make up kit. That wouldn't have been a problem, buts its games are also suited for that age group - all kiddie games. So gifted one to my 9 yr old niece.

I presonally never liked the PSP too much. What's the use of it unless you are going outside for a long period of time? If you have a PS2 at home, then what is the use of the PSP? It's just your PS2, without the use of plugs etc, but with slightly worse graphics.

but my parents don't let me play PS2 apart from weekend but if i have a PSP i could sneak into my bedroom and play there for hours...without them knowing ofcourse...
