I thought E first, because that's the only thing which faces right side which is perfects fit for incomplete piece... But you said no, so I choose D, because it can be used for to complete the image same like 1st one...

Well i don't know if this was the answer you were looking for.
But using a retractable pen, you are able to not produce any lines with not lifting your pen.

I can do it just using a bog standard pen, or a pencil, a crayon can even be used!
