Here's a short framed one .

23 x 23 = 7

25 x 25 = 4

Then , 27 x 27 = ?

23 x 23 = 529 = 5+2+9 = 16 = 1+6 = 7

25 x 25 = 625 = 6+2+5 = 13 = 1+3 = 4

27 x 27 = 729 = 7+2+9 = 18 = 1+8 = 9

Step 1 : Multiply .
Step 2 : Check whether the product is greater than 9 .
Step 3 : If step 2 is true , then sum of the digits & if still greater than 9 then this process of sum continues .
Step 4 : Terminate if the result has become a single digit .
