Story Queensland Bulls - Season 2008/2009 - Ford Ranger Cup

I really like this story, nothing over the top, but it's so simple and clean it looks great. Very realistic interview, sounds exactly like what would happen in real life. Nice side, not sure at Carseldine at 3 though. Great stuff stevo, kiu!

Match Status: Innings over

An inspired and gutsy PKF Tasmanian Tigers have defeated the XXXX Gold QLD Bulls, in a thrilling encounter at the Gabba. Earlier Tasmania made an average 7/184 with everyone in the the top 6 contributing somewhat. QLD were again brilliant with the ball, and the standout was Ashley Noffke taking 3/28 off his 10 overs.

Set the measly 184 to win, QLD's opening woes continued with opener Ryan Broad falling cheaply in the first over, then Lee Carseldine followed him back into the sheds with the score 2/2. Shane Watson and Andrew Symonds got the chase back on track, before the Tasmanian bowlers ripped the heart out of QLD's middle order. Watson fell for 70, and Nathan Reardon went on a mini rampage which included 2 sixes. The chase though proved too tough when Reardon fell, leaving the tail end to fight it out, but it wasn't enough as Tasmania pressured and demolished the Bulls for 162 (All-out).

*Note will probably be changing gameplay patches, as teams bat to slow, and yorkers get you out even if you play a defensive shot.

Disappointing loss, not a good total from the Tigers so you would have thought you could have won. Nice work Stevo, kiu!

Also anyone know any good gameplay patches for Cric 07, im open for suggestions, cheers.

Nah, I don't play cricket 07, sorry.

Unfortunate with that loss, with everyone expecting you to win after bowling well. Hopefully you can change that and go into the next match and regain the form you had in the first match.

Nice, simple presentation, Steve. :)

Sorry didn't write a preview, as I was keen to try out this new gameplay patch. Anyway I kept the same QLD line-up.

Match Report: Bulls lose heartbreaker

Queensland have gone down in it's 3rd FRC game of the season to an inspired South Australia. SA were well served at the top of the order with in form opener Tom Cooper providing the highlights with a patient 50. He was well supported by the Redbacks middle-order, in which Cam Borgas and Dan Christian built the score up to a respectable 230. Ryan Harris was the standout bowler taking 0/35 off his 10, the rest of the bowling was pretty average.

The Bulls again lost early top order wickets before middle-order gun Nathan Reardon put the Bulls back in a winnable position, but he stupidly threw his wicket away, as did Hopes and Simpson to leave the Bulls reeling. Enter Chris Hartley and Ryan Harris, they put together a stand of around 50 before Hartley was bowled by Christian with a beautiful in-swinger. But with the score at 9/151 the Bulls never gave up, Swan played the aggressor and Harris the calm stroke maker. Luck was going with the Bulls and it looked like they might have stolen a victory when Swan was caught off a no-ball, but Christian struck again and SA had won, leaving QLD in all sorts of trouble at 1 win and 2 losses for the season.

MOTM:

Tom Cooper (SA)

Unfortunate to lose another match, by a clear margin in the end. Harris bowled well despite not picking up the wickets which is encouraging, just need to spread that bowling form around the team. The top order seemed to fail again, so that could do with some tinkering. Hopefully the next match will see a better performance.

Don't worry about not doing a preview mate. Good writing and easy to read, keep it up.

State-of-origin of the Cricket variety returns again this season with NSW up against QLD at the SCG. It's been a disappointing start for the Bulls this season with there record at 1 win and 2 losses for the season. This game is most crucial for the Bulls if they want to stay with the pack.

Nice to see Glenn making his debut. Would like to see Watson open the batting with Love instead of Hopes, as i don't think Hopes has the metal power to bat out an innings

Perren is playing instead of Love, I thought I had Martin in my squad, but he isn't in there.

haha well i hope to see Watson open with Perren then :p, not a fan of Hopsey opening the batting.. but yeah

Hope to see the Bulls get over the Blues here. A few good wins have been great. I like the story heaps stevo. Very clean, not over the top. Just done what is enough. Good work!

Hopefully you can destroy QLD's chances of making the final whilst improving your own. You have a good enough team, you just need to perform well. Heres hoping you will.

Nice simple updates, mate. Keep it up.
