Story Queensland Bulls - Season 2008/2009 - Ford Ranger Cup

Match status: Innings break.

A disappointing but fast finishing Queensland have ended the innings being all out for 230. A Mark Cameron led Bulls totally dominated with the great man himself taking 2/30 off 10 overs with 3 maidens. He was well supported by the unlucky Douglas "Champagne" Bollinger who took 0/30 off his 10. NSW didn't have it all there way with Symonds chipping in with a 42 and Captain Chris Simpson making a brutal 49. The innings was finished off well by Hartley and Harris. Hauritz was unbelievably expensive taking 2/86 off 7 overs! Steve O'Keefe was a bit expensive but chimed in with 3 wickets to leave the visitors reeling. It's all set up for a fascinating finish.

Personally I think the Blues wont get there, they will bat to slow and stuff it up again.

Match status: Innings over.

Queensland have cruised to victory over a hapless NSW side. QLD's bowling was again brilliant as they restricted NSW to 207/7 off 50 overs. NSW were well served by young guns Dave Warner (46), and Pete Forrest a patient 56.

It wasn't enough again as QLD's bowlers took charge, notably Ryan Harris, Chris Simpson, and James Hopes who took 3/39 from 9 overs, his figures would have looked much more better than that, but Blues keeper, Dan Smith got a hold of him in the final few overs.

This leaves QLD on 9 points, with WA dominating on top with 21 pts (3 bonus pts), and SA on a commanding 16 points.

Going to be a hard road to get back, will try another patch to get reasonable scores.

Gah QLD can't take a break, but some good bowling by Hopsey. Ok mate, good luck with trying to find another patch

great win by the bulls. Good story mate, maybe a bit more visual effects (pics and stuff, coloured text). Would do it good. Looking forward for the future updates.

Match status: Game Over

Queensland's woes continue in the FRC this season. Playing at the MCG against the VB Victorian Bushrangers, the Bulls were desperate for another win to keep there chances alive for a finals berth. They bowled very poorly and it allowed the VB Bushrangers to rack up an impressive 287 all out from 50 overs. No real stand-outs for the Vics with everyone mostly the contributing.

So now it was all up to the Bulls, they started impressively with James Hopes belting Nannes into the second tier with a brilliant shot, off only the 4th ball of the innings. It went pear-shaped from then on, although Chris Hartley went on a mini rampage to get Queensland back on track, but only himself and second gamer Batticciotto were able to provide any resistance as they were bundled out for 180. Batticciotto finished with 26 n.o, continuing his good form.

stevo1 added 1 Minutes and 4 Seconds later...

hey mate what roster are you using?

Robby Porter's roster.

Poor work from Queensland, really bad loss. They lost it with the ball early on and never looked like recovering. Good work mate, kiu! :)

Match status: Innings over.

Queensland have kept their chances of making the FRC Final with a commanding win over WA at the GABBA. QLD started well with both Moller and Hopes putting on 70 for the first wicket, before Hopes fell for a well made 42. The innings started to fall apart after that with Lee Carseldine providing the only resistance for a solid 43. Some lower order hitting from Harris saw QLD get to 207 all out in the 42nd over.

WA batted slowly to limp to 172/5 from 50 overs. Harris was good 1/30 off 10, Hopes batted up his batting well, collecting 2/42 from his 10 overs. No real highlights for the Warriors obviously but Ronchi chipped in with a 50.

Now leaves us 2 points from 2nd spot where SA currently hold that position.

Good win there, important win as well. The changes to the line up really helped i reckon. Always handy when the tail wags aswell. Good effort. Keep it up mate.

Yeah changes were ok, Carseldine was the only one that really worked although Rimmington didn't bowl that badly and Moller looked ok for his 22.
