Questions about batting

was damn excited to get this game, but in the last two hours iv been pulling my hair out at the batting system. For all that have the game, do bowlers ever pitch the ball outside the off stump?? so far everything is dead straight from the right arm bowlers.. and the left arm bowlers just keep bowling on my pads, which too i cant seem to get into the gaps.. sometimes i flick them for 4 fine of third man.. but otherwise it just goes straight to the fielder every time.

Oh i found the system of not being able to move after the bowler picks his spot, to be quite stupid.. is there any way to change this? Is easy mode any different?

i know what you mean they never pich it out there only way is to give yourself soem ROM (as Tony Grieg wwould say) before it is pitched year looks stupid leaving your stumps out in the open but the only way
