Quick question about the grounds...

I went to the Australia v South Africa practice match at Bengaluru!
This is what the banner outside the stadium said:
link for banner

But I found students bunking their college, coming to match with their "college bags". Food was not allowed, but still, they managed to get it in. Mobiles were allowed, no idea about camera though.

And regarding the food, at Bengaluru, the food facility was just awesome! I got veg pulao for just INR 25 (Half of what he served was served in Hyderabad for INR 100:(). Water was available for free. All the cool drinks prepared by Pepsi & Co are available for 20/25 bucks (I don't remember properly). There are some sandwiches, burgers, veg rolls, which I din't try. They all were costing around 25-50 INR (not more than that). Lays will be costing 15, not 10.

Regarding toilets, They're just awesome! Well maintained.
And alcohol is not allowed into stadium, dunno if its served in corporate boxes, as said by Sid.

And yeah, this experience is 100 times better than what we regularly have in Hyderabad!

Check out the rules:P

"Do not throw any missiles"

but feces is allowed

Of course, you can produce it in the stadium itself & no metal detector can detect if you need to take a poo or not. Now tell me Marcas, how do you know our inner most secrets to hooliganism ?

I learn from the best.

You'd think no throwing missiles is implied

True, but still a ridiculous rule to inform people off, I guess it showcases the caliber of the people attending.

That would explain why the protective fences are so high at the baseball.

Foul ball nets? are comparable to riot cages to keep crowds in line, thanks for the laugh

There was an american dude on Cricinfo's 'in between the cricket' that described the world cup games he has been to, which is his first taste of cricket ever, as the best experience he has had in a stadium ever.

Take that for what you will.

Anyways, the first match i'm going to is tomorrow. Really psyched for this, and its a neutral game so there will be no heartbreaks, just hoping for a good game of cricket :p. Will be backing the WI though, hope Chris Gayle comes to the party in style.

Then sunday... INDIAAAAAAAAAAA!

!

Probably cause he'd been to baseball games his whole life.

It's amazing how mind-numbingly boring baseball games are. (Although I guess it would be the same way in cricket everywhere except the SC)

To each their own, just because you do not have the capacity to appreciate baseball does not mean it doesn't exist.

Compare the absolute best baseball games (Maybe a Yankee-Red Sox game) and the intensity of an India=Pak match or Ashes test. I am willing to bet 10/10 that the cricket matchw ill have a better atmosphere, greater intensity, just more entertaining in general.

Having lived in America practically my whole life now I really gave Baseball a big chance. Afterall, it is the closest thing to cricket so I thought I will be naturally attracted to it. Just doesn't compare unfortunately...

Anyways, this is off topic. I really can't wait for tomorrow, big game!!
