Random Thoughts

I'm not celebrating in the slightest till I can confirm I haven't failed (by my expectations of myself, that is.)

GCE A Level Students (ie Me) get their results in 4 hours.

This has all the makings of The Worst Birthday Ever.

I hate people like you, they are so incredibly smart yet still aren't happy when they get one mark off full marks. It's so annoying!

Well, I did do pretty badly this year. An average of only around 80 in Math and Chem, Physics I think I just broke 90 on the back of my 60/60 in coursework. All my written exam results were very poor. Highlight was a 94/100 in Math C4.

Thank god for my last years results.

Scores I could only dream of. Actually I'm not even smart enough to dream about them :(

pah crap results :p

I got 79 on one Maths paper, 82 in another. I guarantee you those are amongst the lowest in my class. Physics I got a touch over 100/120 in both, which is barely crossing an A. My coursework grade bumped it up. And I got 79.667% in Chem, so rounded up I just scraped an A.

Oh, poor Zorax :(

Keep in mind you're talking to someone who was expected to, by everyone he knows (friends, teachers, parents, classmates) and by himself to get 3 A*s.

Well, I have high expectations of myself too. I set very high standards and work insanely hard. So it's easy enough to understand that I'll be disappointed.

I guess I should be glad with my A* in Physics, but I fell well short of the 480/480 I wanted in the written papers. Only got 451.

Got accepted into Lincoln Uni (first choice) despite missing out on what I needed by one grade. Picked up a B in Media, C in English and C in PE. Very happy. If it wasn't for a bitch of a cough I'd be over the moon. Looking forward to getting very drunk tonight and then getting the train to Bristol hungover tomorrow.

Man, college applications are a PAIN.
I think that's the University's first step of weeding away the strong from the weak. If you aren't capable enough to complete the Uni application procedure, then maybe you shouldn't be studying there.
