I never knew that prostitution was illegal in the USA. Should be illegal here too.

I hate it when people have high expectations of you. It's so annoying and there's a whole heap of pressure on you

Really, it is annoying. I have many friends who have high pressure on them and they are reluctant even to do anything rather than studies.
Fortunately, My parents don't pressurize me. They say do what your heart says.:D

My parents had very high expectations of me to do well in exams, and as a result I did even less work. It's not only parents, but your friends as well. They all think that you'll do really well because you've done well in the past, and if you don't then they can get annoying.

My parents have learnt not to bother me too much any more :)

Honestly, my friends are like, nice. They don't care if their friend(s) lose one or two marks there. They just say "Enjoy the life".

I think some sort of pressure is always good. I think it helps us keep focused on our ultimate goal of succeeding in life. I know it can be very annoying at times. But I think pressure is actually beneficial (as long as you do not over pressure a student) .

Well, actually not the same with me. I know what I have to do. If someone pressurizes me to do something that I'm actually going to do, it pisses me off.

Exactly the same with me. My parents tell me to study so I go and play ICC. When they're not around I study :/

Got accepted into Lincoln Uni (first choice) despite missing out on what I needed by one grade. Picked up a B in Media, C in English and C in PE. Very happy. If it wasn't for a bitch of a cough I'd be over the moon. Looking forward to getting very drunk tonight and then getting the train to Bristol hungover tomorrow.

The only similarity between us.

Well I think you should realise that they do pressurise you for your own benefit. I really do not know how much pressure it is applied to both of you though.
A small amount of pressure is not bad and should not be thought as annoying. However the matter is entirely different if over pressure is applied.

I do agree that some pressure is good. But not heaps. And it doesn't have to be them directly pressurising you, in my case it was the knowledge that they expected me to get great marks, and didn't need to tell me or remind me. There is an expectation that doesn't need to be voiced but is present between you.

I felt that I could get good marks without having to study much at all, whereas they thought that was rubbish and so they tried to get me to study all the time.
