Random Thoughts

I have a plan, it's all good:

Depending on how early I chunder up my hangover, I'll go down to the college and enrol to do Year 12 again. I need 3 B's there, and I'm in.

Got accepted into Lincoln Uni (first choice) despite missing out on what I needed by one grade. Picked up a B in Media, C in English and C in PE. Very happy. If it wasn't for a bitch of a cough I'd be over the moon. Looking forward to getting very drunk tonight and then getting the train to Bristol hungover tomorrow.

I have a mate there, what course are you doing?

He is living in a student house this year and he invited me to take a visit.

Massive mistake on his part. Be lucky if his house is still standing when I leave.

Why not start working straight away?

Without wanting to put too fine a point on it:

I wanna be the best, and I can't see how not doing the course will get me there. Journalism doesn't look, for all the world, like something you can just 'do', as it were.

if you know people you can.

I wouldn't know where to begin. To be fair I'm gonna go to Radio Suffolk, get on the Town games etc. this year.

TV and Film and Journalism is the name of the course. Was the best course for me as I wanted to do both journalism and moving image media. It was the only course I applied to that had both together, so I was desperate to get in.

I am also now an adopted Lincoln City football fan, currently the worst team in the football league :p Can't go wrong with ?11 match tickets.

Who lives in Sydney, Australia?

We need to talk. Please. So... ya.. help.. please.

Just spent an entire day with my 2 nephews and niece, all under 5 years old. Even though Im completely worn out and just got done putting them to bed (9:22pm) I can't help but feel as if its one of the best days Ive had recently.

Might need to rethink my "no kids" policy in a few years.

Kids are awesome. Tiring, but awesome.

The problem arises when they hit the ages of 11-15. Then they can be real pains. Especially if their parents spoil them when they're younger.

agreed!

but 11-15 is too far ahead. i have a 5 year old nephew and hes spoiled like crazy!

if you take him to a mall or something, then get ready to empty your pockets.
he'll want to buy anything and everything he points at. and its just not random pointing, he precisely knows what the product is..thanks to the crazy advertising through kids TV channels. and theres no bargaining or convincing here, he'll throw a bigger tantrum than christian bale.

hes eaten more packaged food and chocolates already than what i have in my 20 years. plus, the lack of oral hygiene has resulted in most of teeth almost dissolved and rotten.

Lol.

Thing is, you can manipulate 5 year olds. Distract them, play games or tell them jokes, lie to them and they won't know better.

11-15 year olds...harder to distract, and will still throw massive tantrums.

But yea, kids are horrible at any age if spoiled. It's the ones raised well that are awesome.
