I'm getting incredibly frustrated by my accounting assignment. They've given us a list of transactions, we have to journalise them, post them, then create a series of financial statements. To check our answers they have given us the total that the balance sheet balances to.

I've done the problem completely twice, and checked over it numerous times, yet while my balance sheet balances, it's not to the correct amount. It's only $274 out, but I can't find anything related to that anywhere in the ledgers/journals. So annoying :

probably calculated something wrong, or you didn't account for GST or some other silly mistake. what sort of question is it?

Heaps happy ATM. Old small TV where I play PS3 on broke so now we got a new LCD HDTV to play on. Got a HDMI cable today and all I can say is

What do you mean by what sort of question?

In this question we were told not to account for GST.

Since it balances but not to the right number, it would be something in the journal, before the posting?

It could be anything, go through the whole thing again, btw are you using a software?

No I'm doing it all manually. If it was something between the trial balance and the final balance sheet it wouldn't balance would it? And if was in the posting to the ledgers, again it wouldn't balance?

the only reason i could think of is its something to do with depreciation, which you could've calculated wrong but it still would give a balanced sheet.

Well I lately just got one for my 360 and it makes a lot of difference with PAL-60 games since they were blurry. Does make it look neater and much more smooth, also improves sound significantly

What size is your TV? Mine is 42 inch.
