I thought for one dreadful second you were referring to the television program. Thankfully I was wrong.

Is the Big Brother program the mentoring thing that was on The Simpsons yonks back? There isn't really a similar service in the UK to my knowledge.

Yea its a mentoring program where you get assigned a kid (troubled or lower income) for the school year and take them out once or twice a month for activities.

Gives the kids something to look forward to, most have horrible lives. Single parents, abuse, etc at home.

Girlfriend is a social worker and she has motivated me to give something back to the community.

The program requires extensive background checks, visits by social workers to my house to make sure its OK, detailed reports of each activity.

Forgot to mention that I went to Cincinnati over the weekend to watch the Cincinnati Open Final (Tennis). It was Roger Federer vs Mardy Fish. Federer lost the first set 6-7 then won the next two 7-6 and 6-4. Tight game.

My bad, Mardy Fish . Nothing to be mardy about though, he played a great game. Federer only broke once in the entire game and that was in the last set to win it 6-4.

Makes me giggle every time I watch a match with him in. And yes I am that childish.
