Nearly all of them are doing engineering. One commerce, 2 fine arts, but the rest (about 10) are doing engineering. It's apparently just as good as the engineering school in Auckland, but they get to leave home and be in a totally different city.

But your phone broke just from falling off the tv...

I've dropped my phone on concrete from a metre and a bit a few times before and it's fine
It done the same thing about a month ago from a hard knock. I've fixed it now though. I was showing my mate how it happened and by dropping it again it fixed itself. Now even the smallest of knocks ****s it up... time for a new phone I think.

hahaha whacking anything fixes it :)

I need a new phone too but I dunno what to get. I have an iPod Touch so I don't need a music phone. A nice camera would be good.

Almost everyone I know going to uni is going to Auckland or Otago.

The money is the major thing that puts me off going elsewhere, as I'm really lazy, and CBF getting a job.

There was another earthquake today. This one was only 5-6 on the scale and the epicentre was out to sea near Wellington-ish (I think) Unrelated to the ChCh one.
Poor journalism by me :laugh

It was near Napier/Manawatu. And there were two, a 4.2 then a 5.1 or something like that.

None near Auckland. :(

:D

Darfield must be getting completely owned, look at how many aftershocks are being centered around them...

They're not very strong ones though, they wouldn't cause much damage

They would've felt those definitely, but would hardly have done anything I would think.

All this earthquake stuff all over the news, just wants me to know what one feels like.
They should make a earthquake simulator somewhere in Auckland, as we don't get any up here.

We've had a couple of earthquakes but they were reasonably small, happened quite a few years ago and were at night. I think I remember one of them.
