Why do American tv shows have 24 episode seasons, while British tv shows have 6 episode seasons?
There is no set amount per series here. Don't know where you got 24 from, most are usually 10-15
British Sitcoms tend to stick to 6 episodes per series. Off top of my head; Red Dwarf, Inbetweeners, Bottom (watch this if you've not seen it before, Mark), Fawlty Towers, Peep Show and The Young Ones (again, watch this if you haven't) all did 6 episodes per series.
Actually, some of the later Dwarf series were 7 or 8 episodes. Then again, things started going weird in series 7 & 8.
Most of the American tv shows I watch seem to be more than 20 episodes long. e.g. 24 (duh), NCIS, NCIS:LA, HIMYM, BBT, Glee (yes I know), Prison Break, Heroes, House.
Top Gear is also 6 episodes, IT Crowd, Skins, Blackadder...
Was just curious.
Is this is England about the little kid who joins the racist group? If so then yea I have
