you should turn up in huddersfield. It'd be a very pure moment.

It's a mere 109 hour drive or a 1,656 hour walk for him. I don't mind another trip to Huddersfield at the start of May. We can celebrate the completion of my dissertation together.

I guess Auckland doesn't set the bar very high :spy Wasn't it just pissing down rain the whole time? Pretty much has been here and I'm about 2 hours south of Brissy atm and Qld's been copping it worse than here.

This has been one of our driest summers ever, I think in Jan and Feb we only had like 10% of the normal rainfall. There's been no rain on the first day of Autumn as well. :p

Rained on and off for two of the days, which happened to be the two days we spent at theme parks. Wasn't that much of a bother though, meant there were hardly any queues and we could go on the log flume and not care if we got wet because we already were wet lol

Main attraction of the trip was Soundwave though, had an awesome time there

Ah that's not too bad then. Can't remember which park the log ride is at, but did you happen to hit up Movieworld and their superman rollercoaster? The park itself sucks imo, but good memories of that 'coaster. Might not have been running if there was too much rain though.

Probably a good thing that NZ is getting some respite after the disasters there the last couple of years. Crazy stuff here after years of drought and bushfires, to bucket loads of rain and flash flooding.. and all happens in the space of a week :p

Yea the superman one is pretty awesome. I don't think any of the rides were closed for the weather, which was good

Chavez dead. Having lived under his rule for about 4 years, I hope that this signals the beginning of progress and forward movement (legitimacy of a democratic government) rather than stagnation or regressive movements (becoming further repressively socialist/communist).

There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
