For anyone who cares I just checked out my final high school results, and I passed NCEA Level 3 with Excellence!

Edit: Only just though, with 54 E credits.

Well done Callum. I only got achieved, missed Merit with only 40 Merit and Excellence credits. I know I probably didn't deserve more than achieved but I'm kicking myself knowing that if I was half decent at Maths I would've got Merit no troubles I'm going to put in a much better effort at school this year, I know I can do better. God damn achieved aye, I tweaked up last year.

Just rang my mum to tell her that I was pretty much swerving uni off for now and starting 2nd year again in september.

I hope the uni will let me, but I smashed the first year so hopefully that will work in my favour.

basically I've failed.

done zero work all semester and no revision at all. not even uber cramming and wearing my lucky shorts in the exam hall will save me.

Now if I fail both of my exams (which I almost certainly will - i'm writing organic chemistry off now. I can probably scrape a pass in pharmacology) I can re-sit. But I'm behind for the modules that continue into the 2nd semester too; playing catch up and studying new modules just won't happen. I wouldn't be able to do it. On top of a part time job, at least. Now I could use the money i've just came into to live off and not work, but that will run out.

I think my best option is to just take the 7-8 months out. Work more hours, keep looking over my uni work/notes. Go back and not be an utter utter fool in September with a bit more money under my belt so I can cut down the hours I work completely (if not quit completely)

Sounds like exactly what I did last year lol. All I had to do was tell the uni I was deffering and they just offered me an unconditional place into 2nd year for September

I'm going to email my year co-ordinator and personal tutor tomorrow. I Want another night to sleep on it.

Not sure whether to be completely honest and explain i just haven't done the work. I did first year, but not in the 2nd.

Congrats My sister was annoyed because she didn't get lvl 2 with excellence. But she doesn't do much work for her exams. Though she does do more than me...

I do a bit, but not much of it was productive study. I was mainly just sitting in my room throwing a ball around.

In Calc I got 5/5 Es, and in Stats I got 5/7 Es, so that's where I piled up all my Es.

For both level 1 and 2 I've been in the 40s in terms of E credits, so I'm pretty happy to finally get over the line.

Got exams on the 19th and 20th and I havent started ████ for them. The next few days are going to be brutal. Just hope I make it through.
