Retirements Thread - Virat, Rohit and Jadeja T20Is

He is one of the greatest ever to play for the Proteas. I think he was one of the most consistent performers for them and was as good a batsman that Kallis was for them. He was a very frustrating player to bowl to. I remember him smashing the Indian bowlers when he came over here back in 2010 and me getting frustrated in my blurry memory. I don't remember anything much from that time though. But I would probably rate him a bit higher than AB de Villiers only because of his calmness and keeping things simple as a batsman yet be very effective. Du Plessis is another batsman who seems to follow Amla's footsteps.

Two outstanding cricketers. It was expected. That 2015 World Cup belonged to this side.. Perhaps the best test team I have seen after the greatest Aussie team of the 00's.

I am so sad because of their retirement. Dale Steyn was performing well recently but so unfortunate for him missing the WC.

Well, his Asia Cup final spell was so wonderful to watch. Sad that his career ended because of politics and injury. Although he was not effective enough towards his later part of his career, could have been sensational had he got the right guidance.

I believe he was a hyped up spinner just because of few spells in his career. His failure in Test Cricket is an indicator of that. He didn't do well in IPL either. The reason why I said IPL was because he was more of a T20 specialist and him not doing well in the best T20 tournament in the world isn't a great sign.

I just hope Ashwin doesn’t follow :p
