Retirements Thread - Virat, Rohit and Jadeja T20Is

So the side might look like this-

:saf: :bat: Tony de Zorzi
:saf: :bat: Neil Brand :c:
:saf: :bat: Keegan Petersen
:saf: :bat: Zubayr Hamza
:saf: :bat: David Bedingham
:saf: :bat: Khaya Zondo
:saf: :wk: Clyde Fortuin
:saf: :bwl: Hardus Viljoen
:saf: :bwl: Duanne Olivier
:saf: :bwl: Dane Paterson
:saf: :bwl: Dane Piedt
Are you sure Viljoen, Olivier and Hamza didn't get picked in SA20? I would think they would be

Nope I’m sure I just checked the squads .

Anyway one option is glenton stuurman if any did get picked

Ottley had a great domestic season and hasn't played internationals much, so they'd rather try him than someone who's been given so many chances

That makes me think who on earth will lead the SA side in NZ and how much weaker it's gonna look. Even Bavuma has an SA20 deal now. Imo he should cancel that and lead the team as he's not needed much for SREC anyway.

Think you’re naive if you believe any cricketer is giving up a good deal of money for a short duration of time without any compensation especially when their own board is prioritising said money.

This side is still capable of trolling us all and still leaving with two draws/one win to keep the unbeaten streak going.

but it's for the NZ tour, not India

Oh I meant the NZ tour in that last post since we all know India’s never winning the series anyway.

Just retire from it entirely imo. 2025 they may have a talented young opener coming and knocking. Shouldn't take his spot. He does say only when "needed" so I guess it's fine.

Australia have a plethora of openers in white ball cricket, they'll be fine without Warner.

You see many are retiring from the longer formats- there just isn't any impetus for these guys to continue playing a dying format.

I don’t think the bloke who retires after being dropped from the test team for being shite counts as a black mark against test cricket.
