Ok, I tried one of the suggestions the good folks over here mentioned about seam position deciding which side is the shiny side on the ball.
My findings bowling as RF:
By default, the shiny side is always on the outside.
Selecting inswing vs outswing doesn't change the way bowler holds the shiny side.
If Seam position is selected to 11 o'clock or 1 o'clock; shiny side stays on the left just that seam goes \ or / respectively.
But, if the Seam position is selected to 5 o'clock or 7 o'clock; shiny side goes to the right side just as the ball is released. So, again could very well have been placebo but, 7 o'clock (/ and shiny side on the inside) for inswinger swung more than any other combination for inswing.
