Suddenly Scotland vs Oman is the pinnacle
In a bid to become T20 specialists, sadly the Windies have reduced to a team that struggles not only to keep wickets but also to score runs. Currently scoring at 2.53 RPO.
Brilliant bowling from Nepal so far. Still very early into the game. Shai Hope can stick around while Pooran, Powell and Holder can be damaging. If they can get Shai here, there is only batsman in Roston Chase who has some patience to bat for long hours.
Yes, which should work on paper but they have been able to excel in anything (T20 style or FC style to play out the overs well) consistently. The problem at the domestic structure has been persisting for far too long now with them. Not at all a good sign considering they have won 4 WCs in total (2 each for ODIs and T20Is) in their past. These days, they are just too painful to watch. The mojo of the Calypso needs to be brought back. They seem to be a mix of FC specialists and T20 specialists at the moment.
Good start by Nepal. West Indies 9/2
Yes, but have been left out of the squad. Plunkett, not sure.Does anyone have a clue whether Corey Anderson and Unmukt Chand have qualified to represent USA cricket team? I though they did get the citizenship. I guess even former England player Liam Plunkett is residing there (not sure about his nationality status). These three can really bolster the American team.
I don't think Plunkett will ever play. He was old in 2019, I'd imagine he's well past it now. Still they should have played the former Internationals at least. Corey Anderson, Shehan Jayasuriya, Sami Aslam would have played a pivotal role for them. Certainly Anderson would have been a vital cog for them. Smit Patel as the keeper and Chand at the top of the order isn't too rubbish for USA's standards too. I know Plunkett is not young and no James Anderson but he may still be good enough to spearhead USA's bowling attack even at 38.By the looks of it, Nepal might just beat the West Indies here.

Sami Aslam isn't eligible until November and I think he was one of the first to move out there.Still they should have played the former Internationals at least. I read a Cricinfo article once that mentioned players like Chand and Anderson are in a race to qualify in time for the 2024 WC
That explains it. Thanks guys. Hopefully USA might see a turnaround in their cricket for the better. Cricket being limited to a handful of teams is hardly exciting. We need more teams for the betterment of the sport and for the interest of fans. Wish ICC understands that.Sami Aslam isn't eligible until November and I think he was one of the first to move out there.
Its already 33rd over in progress.Good recovery from the Windies. If these two can bat till the 35th over, I think WI will score 280+ easily.
