Umesh Yadav, Siraj, Woakes are the top class bowlers in IPL.

I don't know about Woakes but Umesh and Siraj are known to be very expensive bowlers in T20 format. I don't see any reason why that would be any different this season.

No. It does not mean that. It may also mean that we didn't want to bid for him and increase his price and in the end, use RTM on him, just like KKR did for Uthappa. But in our case, Rahul's price was very high.

But everytime I've switched on my TV to watch IPL, Umesh has always performed. At least in the games that I've watched. And surely, they are better than the likes of previous bowling unit of RCB - Harshal Patel, Indian Mitchell Starc (Chaudhary) etc..[DOUBLEPOST=1522655221][/DOUBLEPOST]

Even after retaining an uncapped player, the total went to 29-30 crs off the 32 crs. spent by other teams in retaining 3 players. They could've retained Rahul instead of Sarfaraz. And also, Virat has been paid a bit higher than other players of other teams.

Ya. They retained Sarfaraz because they could save 4 crores. And they probably thought they could use RTM for Rahul with the saved money as no one expected Rahul to go for 11 crores ! During that period, Rahul was even dropped from Indian side too.

Virat was paid higher than others because that was his original salary. According to the rules, they should pay 15cr or their original price, whichever is higher.

I see some difference with captaincy of Kohli. He used to be different person while captaining the national side. And before you can jump on me, I know there is MS Dhoni to guide him at international stage. I'm talking about the team selection. Surely, MSD doesn't have any right to intervene the captains decision on playing XI selection or the squad selection. Thats what is making a difference in Kohli's captaincy at national level and domestic level.

I see Virat being influenced by the RCB management. Namely, Vettori and Nehra. I don't understand why on earth he is still the head coach of RCB. His thinking, strategies are 5 years old and is not at all acceptable now. And there is World Cup winning coach sitting beside Vettori who doesn't have any powers other than looking after batting department.

And Vettori's obsession with NZ players rather than the local players is just insane. I dearly hope he doesn't continue as the headcoach. There has been no achievement by the team after he took over as the coach other than going into the finals twice and losing both of them. I'm still confused how can Virat be influenced so much when he was the one to make the BCCI to fire Kumble even after having coached the team brilliantly.

And as for Nehra, he has some serious issues. I think he disappears after every match and returns to the dressing room just moments before the next match. That is the reason why he is around the boundary lines in every match giving suggestions to bowlers and Virat. Seriously, I think there is no analysing session for bowlers after every game or before every game. Just to analyse the weaknesses, strengths, discuss strategies etc.. He does all these things on the field. Lol!
