One year to go to the Rugby World Cup. It would be great if some company is working on a GOOD union game.

Some said that Rugby 18 after the patches was not half bad, so maybe there's hope.

Seems like anything Bigben publishes bombs at launch, maybe it's a bad omen for small developers to partner with them since they seem to rush releases

if ever there was time to make a commercially viable, good rubgy union game you'd think it would be with an upcoming world cup and then olympics with 7s, both in a major gaming country like japan

I just feel confidence is very low with some under par entries. But yep, would love to see it happen.

BigBen recently bought Eko, who developed Rugby 18 and the Handball games. That bodes ill assuming there's going to be a Rugby 19 from them.

The RWC is only a few weeks away, but where are the rugby games?

I have it on good authority (Ross) that there will be a Rugby 19 game from BigBen, but that a new Rugby Challenge from Wicked Witch won't make it out.

So one, inevitably rushed, probably rubbish game, and one no-show, for the biggest competition in Rugby. Pathetic.

There has been some coverage across a couple of French websites after Gamescom where Big Ben presented to the media, a beta is coming out before end of 2019 , full game in Feb 2020 , I’ll try and locate the link , also Alternative software are releasing a basic rugby game on Steam shortly , all very underwhelming...

The Rugby Champions game is out. At $14.44, it might be worth a shot, especially as there's nothing else around.

Oh man that crowd, the way the players move.....no atmosphere whatsoever...oh dear![DOUBLEPOST=1567712007][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh man it really looks awful......wondering if the gameplay is any good? On their own site they have a guy running 70 odd yards with the ball and 7 opposition players following him like zombies......

so Rugby 20 is going to be available in a closed beta if you pre order from PS store or Xbox store , it’s there now on PS store, and the Rugby 20 Facebook page adds some more details.... tempting to pre order and be involved...

For those who may have missed the news - there is also a Rugby Challenge 4 game (with most of the s hemisphere licences) being released in December.
