@Ross would be sat on a private island being fed vegetarian food by victoria secrets models

The only person who figured out how to make a successful* cricket game was Mike Fegan... he's doing just that.

*That's how you spell "scam" right?

I miss Fegan's video diaries*... he reminded me of one of my professors

*ramblings

That's what they were looking to raise, but it isn't necessarily a good indication of what it would cost to make!
With Dirt Track specifically, the base game was that amount, but with incredibly basic features. If you look down the stretch goals, you can see how the budget increases. And that STILL might be money to go alongside internal investment, outside investment etc - never does it specify that's what it *actually* costs to make. Just what they need to make it.

And also, of course, this is a *totally* different game!

I saw like 36 names on the people who made this game DBC14.

9 people a year of game Development $1,200,000
36 People a year of game Development $ 4,800,000

I honestly can't believe they even made something that bad and still released it to the public. Those video diaries were woeful too. So many empty promises.

i still think the worst one was the one with @Chief where they "casually" had a pair of pads lying around the office (like you do) in an effort to say "see, we get cricket"... that really was lame.

He did, one of the major players behind Ashes Cricket (Both) although I don't think "Ashes Cricket 2: Hawaiian vacation" will be on any of his CV's...

Will have to make a note to hide our casually placed pair of pads before recording any videos...

I'm aiming for a low bar in this one, commander. There's no turning back.

Twas the long way round, the shortcut..."I'll admit... But whats the break even? Sales wise
