Lip salve is a good one. They are small (like lipstick) and can be kept in the pocket. Smear a load on your lips/eyebrows a ball or two before your turn to bowl and then transfer it to the ball by wiping your mouth/eyebrows with fingers. Then a few vigorous strokes of the ball on your whites keeps the shine longer.
