Shoaib Malik?

I am in 2012 and Yousuf, Misbah is still there at an age of 37/38.
I started the 2012 series and selected my team for the first home test against Australia, when I picked the final XI I found out something was missing, my captain. Anyway, I let Yousuf be vice-captain, pretending my original captain has a flu or something... :happy

So now I am picking the squad for the 2nd test, and Shoaib Malik is not even there
I have seen trough the whole database, and seen test matches & ODIs and filtered for career & last year, and he is gone
Has he retired?
I mean he was hardly 30 years old?

Has this happened to anyone else? With any other players?
Minor stuff like that coming up is getting pretty annoying...

could be a reason behind. once had Kp and Ian Bell disappear when in their 30's to then reapear a series later. also have had an all-rounder retire age 31.

Are you sure about this?
If so, then I can try playing out the season.
I really don't wan't to play the game any further when my captain is on top of his game and suddently dissapears. Can't pretend he got injured in a car accident or something either :

In ICC 3, in my Australia game. 1/2 years into the game Hayden went missing for a whole series. I searched everywhere for him. He reappeared later on in the year. :confused:
