Show us your desktop

I just have My Computer and Recycle Bin in my desktop.I hate more than that. All my icons are there as tiles.Thank you Microsoft for releasing the brilliantly engineered Windows 8.:thumbs

Lol, then I should probably refrain from putting up my desktop here. It is working over-capacity by at least 150%.. Got wayyyy more icons than 1 screen can fit in :p

Mine is half filled with icons. :D

Not a fan of having too many icons on the desktop. Here is screengrab of it for you to see.

You could've attached the picture as thumbnail , it's taking a lot of time to load.

Pretty similar, my Desktop too. Installed Classic Shell to get the classic Windows Start menu on my desktop. And the good thing is, it directly boots to my desktop instead of going to the tile screen. Hope Windows 8.1 brings this functionality built-in rather than making us use third-party options.

Actually I don't know how to attach thumbnails of pictures without using any external image sharing website.

Save your screenshots as JPG files and then attach them to your post. They come up with thumbnails, clicking on which leads you to to the original image. See my desktop screenshot above. PNG's don't work like that here in PC forum.

Bumping this thread because we need a few refined desktops here! I normally use a good picture of the Indy 500 winning car for the rest of the year; but that's probably about to change since all of the good pictures are not high res enough to look any good on a retina display... :(

Anyway; it beats all other desktops here in its refined nature. Putting icons on the desktop; that's SO 2001!

e: holy hell that's much bigger than I thought it'd be. Apparently, screencapping things now makes them huge!

Your screen resolution is 2560x1600, which is huge!

Can you please post a screenshot of the planet cricket home page, with safari maximized to the max possible? I'd like to see how it looks.

here's a picture of it in 2560x1440 in Windows 8 Chrome which is almost his resolution
