If you want to get good close-ups here's what to do:

1)Play as the batiing team.
2)Wait for a ball to which you can play the back-foot drive.
3)Play the shot and then use the replay feature to rewind to the moment where the ball contacts the bat.
4)Zoom in as close as can be and take some nice pics!

If i make footballs they will end up the size of cricket balls.
