in school when we had swimming in PE we went to the baths down the road, and we were all sitting on the edge of the pool, some random old man pushed someone in the pool, for no reason

Maybe he means "proper" snow, you know, 3 or 4 foot of the stuff, rather than the rubbish British type snow, 3 or 4mm.

There was snow up in the North of Scotland but none so far in the Central Belt. I don't actually want school cancelled as I need to go to my lessons, working up to my exams in January

It was bloody freezing today at school, It looks like it couldbe snowing a lot sooner than expected for us and our school closes at the slightest sign of cold

Yeah we are used to snow so unless it is really bad we don't normally get affected. Of course you soft southerners (only joking ) are totally unprepared and go into meltdown at the slightest sign of a snow flake

on topic: it was very cold waiting for the bus this morning, still quite warm this time last year... surprised if there is no snow this winter
