patch works great, tests are real now! bowler speeds fixed! thanks guys
am not saying they wont release a patch or anything...
just that they didnt plan it properly or may be werent looking
forward to so many bugs ?
NO OFFENCE IN ANY WAY BRO
please stop saying " we are looking / reading into forum " SH~t "
and what LEGAL boundary ?
arent we who payed for the game have the right to get a patch ? and they should have released a patch by now ....
Please dont take it in any other way dutchad , i and many others are fed up with those codemaster guy who pretended to have worked out the best game and yet they released crappiest cricket game. what happened to all those " READING " the forum stuff gone ?
if i were a developer , i would have given least importance to timming the release of the game . I would have worked out all the bugs , invited few trusted members from this forum , guys who have played hours and hours of BLC 07 , EA cricket etc and would have got thier feedback and worked closely with them and at last would have given them a free copy of the game.
this is what many software giants are doing.
One more week , if there is no Patch release , i am going to sell my game on Ebay
No offence taken my friend as I feel neither responsible for or able to do anything about Transmission's and Codemaster's predicaments. I am only giving my opinion, as you are giving yours, which does not differ much from yours except that my willingness to wait a little longer in the hope that something will happen is of a more durable variety. That is possibily naive of me, but that is who I am!![]()
I think you have given an excellent overview of what could have/should have been. Codies and Transmission would have gained a lot of credit if they had been able to follow a patch pattern as you had described. My sense is that Transmission wnat to do soemthing but is powerless to do something until Codemasters deem it acceptable and worthwhile doing (from a buisness point of view). It's not just programmers who make games of course and they are bound by the directives given to them by publishers and producers. Codemasters could still make a lot of bad turn good if they were at least to give some information about what and when they feel could and should be fixed. Lets face it; whoever works in the PR department has got his head firmly stuck in a bucket of chip fat and has made the PR of Public Relations into Perfect Ruins.![]()
i dont get it though. your right that transmission might be powerless but why on earth would codies want to delay / avoid a patch ??
Codemasters has had a history of not wanting to admit that it's products are not perfect. As far as they are concerned this game is finished, done, dusted and selling very well thank you very much. I know little about gaming programming but do know quite a lot about programming cycles and devlopment procedures. A patch is always a costly affair and diverts "precious" rescources elsewhere. Of course from a PR point of view Codies should want to appease people. History and numbers however tells them that we keep buying the stuff, however much we are dissatisfied about the previous version. These forums are a testament to that. I am not knocking people here for doing that; that is what forums are for. Plus we are not the only ones buying these games. There are many more people who are not members of these forums buying these games and quite frankly, loving them, thinking they are absolutely brilliant and great!

Yo guys, you may not know this but I can see what?s about to happened in future? !!! cool ha!! oups I am getting a vision now ? james first thing I want to ask you is, what do you think about you last title ashes 09 and its success, do you think this new upcoming dust 2011 will be as successful as the previous one?? ? well yes it was financially very successful but there were lots of things we missed with ashes 09, and it made us determined in developing the ultimate cricket game ever. We dust 2011 is the ultimate cricket game ever and as we have tested it in every possible way and the results are incredible. Not only we have rain in the game anymore we even have earthquakes, tsunamis, etc. testing of the game was done by professionals like English batting star David backem, tiger woods, salman khan, and they all had to say only one thing about the game! That it?s the ultimate cricket game ever. And I know the next question from you will be about patching the game. And my answer is simple ? you don?t need to patch something so bugless as this one!! Trust me? red cards, yellow cards, penalty shootouts? you name is, dust 2011 is the best and its real cricket !!
Codemasters met their sales goals and they don't really give a rats ass about you or me.

I don?t think that?s very sensible on their part!! Well if they can make lot of money with a game like ashes, other competitors will also try to make money. And then, they will loss their monopoly in the market? by the way I really like that idea
