He'd need a new motherboard for the CPU. I'd get a worse graphics card, and upgrade the whole system. And he does need new RAM.

Minor issue with my PC right now (Windows 7 Pro 32bit) - my Add/Remove Programs list has managed to empty itself of nearly everything I have installed. I've tried a few registry repair things and it hasn't really helped. Most things still run okay, except for Security Essentials, which refuses to start.

Programs still install and uninstall fine, just the big list is empty (except for a few things like Chrome)

Lol! It worked for my GTS 450 too!

I wonder if that trick works for dead Graphic card which refuses to start and not only for artifacts.

I will try this if Engineer can't solve.

It does work if card died out due to broken contacts. Well its no harm to try it if nothing else works.

i too have the same problem... I have windows 7 ultimate 32 bit!
But my newly installed programs are there but the old one's are not there! But not a major problem, as we can uninstall any program directly by going in the folder of the program and clicking on the uninstall.exe file ..

i had this prob with my vista, but i had a 2/3 old ones visible too! just did this cmd->sfc /scannow and reboot and it did the trick!

Try System restore, perhaps that might do it.

guys having the same problem again... day before yersterday + everyday it worked like for 5 hours and 8 hours and never it gone on the sleep mode...but now i am facing same problem i just cleaned up the fan,if anyone can give me a screenshot of where our Graphic card / Ram is situated then i will clean that up also..it works somehow good now! But yersterday after cleaning the fan i noiticed one thing that when i connected my mobile to my pc i felt like some current when i touched the joystick of my

i felt a current...not that great high volt or something but a very minor current...so i am afraid to connect my mobile again! Even when i checked the temperature of my VGA (graphic card) it was raising to 90 degrees...i'm shocked! Please if anyone can help , then reply and please give a screenshot of 'VGA / RAM' so that i can clean it up....

I've got a unique problem. I don't know why, but if on any page there's a three letter word which starts with "S", has an "E" in between and ends with "X" is there, my browser creates problem!

I've two browsers : Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.

In Firefox, the browser closes immediately when the said word is displayed.

In Internet Explorer, the browser says "The page cannot be displayed".

Due to this, the share market website is also not accessible to us as its other name is Sens.x. Also, I can read stories here which are about counties like Ess.x and Suss.x.

Our business being share market trading and broking, we desperately need the bse (the name of a leading Indian stock market) website to work.

Please please help me out. I don't know why that problem is.

Note: Please don't use the mentioned word otherwise, my browser will create problem and I would not be able to see your answer.

I'm not much tech savvy as far formatting and editing the options of an operating system is concerned.

I use WindowsXP Service Pack 2 32 bit.

Any kind of help will be appreciated. I need to get rid of this problem as soon as possible. The business is getting affected due to that. Hope you understand. Its a very serious matter.

I don't use any antivirus or firewall.

then check for privacy and content settings!

open internet explorer-->tools-->internet options-->
1)in privacy settings, click on sites. and see if that site is blocked or not.
2)in content settings, click on parental controls and check if the comp is on child mode or not.(you'll have to be an admin to do this!)

1) No site is blocked.

2) In Content Settings, the options of "Enable", "Clear SSL State", "Certificates", "Publishers", "AutoComplete" and "My Profile".

I use Firefox more anyways.
