Solve your computer problem with the help of experts!

My phones swype keyboard letters have rearranged by itself so instead of going qwerty it goes qwertz.... Which makes swype not really usable, anyone know how to get the letters back in the right place?

That once happened on my phone too. Did you re-install your firmware, you need to select appropriate CSC.

Can't be sure if it's sleep mode if you had to restart PC. I had the same problem, and generally it's the overheating that's causing monitor to shut down. Take out your Graphic card and clean it and also clean fan and other parts.

You can download HWMonitor to check your CPU temp. 40-60C is normal.

thanks for the help mate...the engg came he cleaned dust from my Graphic Card / RAM....I too thought that it's a heating issue! But i think as he didn't cleaned up the Fan / other parts the problem is occuring again..:facepalm

Actually you have to take out Graphic Card fan and clean it and then fit it again in graphic card, that's what I was suggested and it worked!

Also, do a chkdsk /x by typing it in Run (Window Key+R) if any case it's software problem.

Clean out th GPU properly. Same happened with my GPU which started hitting 110 degree Celsius.
Take a look at what caused the problem :

All that dust was just blocking the airflow and thus cooling was nullified. So I just cleaned it with a brush and voila, temperatures dropped by 40 degree Celsius.

This worked for a few months then again the dust accumulated and i decided to invest a few bucks in a 3rd party cooler.(Arctic Accelero Twin Turbo +) And now Temps are around 35C at load (By load i meant Crysis load :p)

So here is how my GPU looks now.

Meh..I am now facing some similar problem and now I need help. PC is getting shutdown while playing GTA IV, before it hanging after every 2 min. I am only facing problem with this game. Also I get lag while watching Youtube video. I guess it's overheating of Graphic Card. Is 67C GPU temp normal for 9600gt while just surfing? I did cleaned it and temp is same.

@friend863 thanks for the help guys! It worked :cheers

Its no biggie mate... Anyway, are you the same Yash from FB who has Justin Bieber as profile pic :p ?

Temp raising to 116C???? WTF. I did increased fan speed, probably that's raising it but now it's on default and still raising. Man my pc needs some rest, bye.

The rest of your case looks pretty dusty AP. And why is your hard drive just resting on the floor of your case? :p

Key to a PC cooling is generating a directional air flow. This means you want a fan at the bottom of the front of the PC sucking air in complimented by a fan on the back sucking air out. This means you have cool air being blown in and across your components and getting sucked out the back warm.

Dust can be an issue obviously with components as it can clog up your heatsinks or block up the fans.

If you've had your computer a while and your processor is overheating lots then you may need to look at reapplying a new thermal paste and giving the heatsink and fan a proper clean out. Make sure you read up before doing this if you're not confident so as to avoid issues such as static frying your motherboard etc...

Question guys, my desktop PC died a while ago and whilst I could just get a hard drive dock to retrieve my data, I was wondering if I could feasibly power the hard drive using the power supply from the PC? If I bought a Sata to E-Sata cable would I be able to hook the Hd straight to my laptops E-Sata port and then access the drive? Or would I need a dock?

Because it is the 4th one :p There isn't space for it. Actually there is some space but that has been blocked by that monster of GPU. I could mount a HDD in front of it but then i can't connect its SATA cable and power cable. Thus the poor thing is lying on the floor.;)
