Soon On PlanetCricket...

I'm thinking of doing a different type of story. Both Mark's War story and a finding of Empire Earth in the games pile (which I never seemed to get working before until I realised now that I needed to run as administrator :facepalm) and I was planning to do some historical scenarios using the 4 campaigns (Greece, England, Germany and Russian) starting with Ancient Greece then to middle ages in England against France to Germany in the World War periods then Russia after the 1990's and into the future. Would people be interested? The graphics in the game are really ████ though so it won't be great presentation but I'll try and make the writing make up for that. If there's enough interest, I'll do it.

Lol!! BTW, EE is really fine for writing. Many guys who don't have the game will be surprised at the Russia Campaign. Yes, the graphics are really good as long as you don't zoom fully. But do you play Empire Earth really well? If you are writing, I'll be following it.

Hmm. I think I'm not going to be writing it, sorry. I'm not great at the game which is a problem and the Russian campaign is hard enough for me. Also, the scenarios are a bit too fast to write a full story on them.

^Alright, even that Russian one was too hard for me, I could finish the first one, but 2nd is too hard. There is a technique to finish a scenario easily.

^No, I save the second scenario, copy that save file to my scenario folder where I change the file extension (.ees to .scn) and then add "use cheat codes" and give myself 99999999 resources and then give myself some powerful units and then it'll be a cakewalk for me.
Actually somebody posted it in the net, its not my technique. You can use this technique to win a scenario.

What so go into campaign, play a scenario. Save it. Then copy it to scenario folder, change file extension to .scn, go into scenario editor. Open it up. Do whatever I want to the scenario (Can I or can I only add cheat codes. I wouldn't mind using one of the triggers to change the heroes name to my own :p And then after that, do I change the file extension back to .ees and load saved game or keep it as .scn and play it as a scenario.

^You can add or edit anything. And in the end you need to change the file extension to .ees and copy to the saved games and play and win the game and then you'll finish that scenario and move to the next one.

Can we have a SOTM?

There wouldn't be many stories anyway. I'd say only 2 (Mine and mark's since yours only has 12 posts). I'll do one for next month if there's some more activity.

^Mine's has two much less posts but is close to your views, the difference is around 30.

Thinking of starting a new story with my favourite club Manchester United without Wayne Rooney. Will do that once I get FM 2011.

^That is because I edit my posts to get updates and I use no game, where as you use a post for a update and many of them discuss that game in your thread.

Well you are meant to make a new post for a new update. :laugh

How would people read previous updates then.

^For transfers, squads I use only one post for each and that is why. If you see my thread you'll understand. Also I don't have any game of football and its really difficult maintaining records.

I'm thinking of doing another FM story after my exams. I think I've got a few options that I want to do.

A Man Utd story in about the 2013 season in FM10 as they continue their world dominance
A Leeds story in FM11 as they try to become one of England's giants again.
A Man Utd story in FM11 as they try to regain the Premier League with the likes of their young players, Hernandez and Bebe.
A Crystal Palace story in FM11 as they try to avoid relegation after a tough 2009/10 season

I don't mind any of these stories and since I'll probably get FM11 after I finish my exams, I think they finish like the day FM11 comes out so I can do that.
