lol I've been trying used to the game, and have already been annexed badly thrice. Any tips I could get? Should getting to the tool age/bronze age my first aim before increasing my stockpile (except food and wood) or i should just do everything simultaneously?

It's been so long since I've played it, so I don't really have any tips.
I'd just google Age of Empires 1 tactics, I'm sure there are plenty of tactics sites out there for it, considering how popular it is.

I was always one who liked to pile up resources early, and look to get to the last age, then launch a massive attack, although when the AI attack in the first or second age I'd always be stuffed.

I'm likely to do a story with Lazio on FM11 after the 2010/2011 season as I'm already like half way through the season and not really much point starting now. That's provided I still have my job by then anyway, haha.

I'm probably going to do a mafia game over the christmas holidays as people should have time around then. Will be some serious twists and turns with various new and created roles.

Would be good to get a load of people in on it to make it as good as possible. The one going on at the moment has been a tad disjointed.

I would be interested to know if there is any interest in a rather different type of story than has been done before. I am keen to do a wrestling story on TEW05 with WCW set in December 1997, at the peak of the monday night wars. Would anybody want to read it?

i would keen to read that. itd be good to see a wrestling story in the earlier days.

Any new story is good. Being different adds to it. I'd rather not be reading similar stories everytime.

Well actually, now I'm tossing up between 2 ideas for a FM story, now that I have the hard work done. These are the options:

1) I do a Lazio story from the second season onwards, as I have suggested earlier.

2) Or I do a World Challenge thing. It will have 8 teams from around the world. At the moment, the teams are Melbourne, London, New York, Paris, Rome, Auckland, Madrid and Berlin and will probably just be that. They will take part in a league, where each team will play each other probably 3 teams a season. Each squad will make up of 25 squad members, most known for their current ability and about 5 of them of players with future potential, mostly younger than 21. So I've done the hard work of getting 200 players, the best available and sorting them into groups of 8 (of similar ability) in their position and now I just need to use a list randomizer to put each lot of 8 players in and to decide which team each player will play for which will probably take a couple of days to do as well as create the teams and the tournament in the database editor and then I can start it.


So which one would people prefer, the second would probably be just a computer managerised thing and I'll just be a spectator and post what happens if you get what I mean. And any ideas, if you choose the second idea would be appreciated.

Well I've finished setting up everything after some annoying work and now I'm just going to test for any bugs, make any changes needed and start the story since nobody has given me any feedback on what story they want and I have worked pretty hard on this so I don't really want it to be a waste.

And i suppose we don't have any of such similar stuff running ATM.

Not great. Getting better but if you resume your story, it would get a lot better. It's ok with the mafia so I'm guessing that a lot of people would be interested in you resuming the best WWE story on PC.
