So, Mohit Sharma and Bhuvi conceding 9 r.p.o every game is perceived as control. Amazing that we keep picking them. The only wickets they get are through batsmen slogging around.

Absolute carnage out there till now from SA. 400 definitely on the cards and maybe more with AbD and Faf looking red hot. Our bowlers seem tired and so do our fielders. The pitch seems dead from what I have seen. Hopefully under lights it remains the same so we can get to see some sort of chase by the Indian batsmen.

Rahane top knock but really shouldnt have hit that shot after ABD placed deep midwkt in the last over, the guy really needs to learn to convert to big scores.

He certainly can score quick just needs to convert these 60-80 to 120+

This type of bowling in your own conditions is very surprising. I just don't understand why you would keep bowling short when the batsman are comfortably hooking you for sixes. There seems to be no discipline in our fast bowlers at all. What is Ravi Shastri getting paid for? Just sitting in the dressing room and watching our bowlers get hammered like this. Unbelievable, I think it's time for a full time coach.

To be fair I was surprised with the pitch. I didn't expect a pitch that offered help to the spinners, and instead the pitch was one that offered more bounce. It was an odd decision and I wonder what the plan behind that was. Is it to deny SA any kind of a practice on spinning wickets ahead of the Tests?

As for the India pacers, its such a sorry state of affairs that India may as well start going in with 5 proper spinners and perhaps Kohli could open the bowling and be customarily smashed around.

Mohit and Bhuvi were awful this series, and the problem is there is no rotation. Why are they kept being persisted with. Surely Arvind could have been given a go in one of the games. How bad is he, that he can't get in ahead of Bhuvi and Mohit going consistantly at over 6 runs per over every game?

Anyway it was a good series, the final ODI did disappoint, as it was not even a contest. However onto the tests now, and looking forward to it. Hopefully Ashwin will be fit.

Bhuvi i think is going through a dip in form and has lost the swing he used to have, he used to be a handful with the newball at-least a wkt and keep it tight it would be shame to see him falter way. I believe he needs someone with pace at the other end too like shami or yadav. Mohit shouldn't be in the team.

Also it was bad enough to see Shami trying Short stuff sometime back now its even more seeing mohit and bhuvi try that with their pace.

I like Bhuvi but his decline has been very alarming. In England he was like a breath of fresh air, he could swing the ball, he could hold up his end with the Bat. Right now not only has his bowling completely gone, his batting has disappeared as well. Bhuvi was good for 20 runs lower down the order, and I don't think he has that anymore. Even in CT he was crucial to our win, as he picked up wickets with the new ball every time. He has gone so far behind that who ever is the bowling coach or responsible for Bhuvi's bowling should be sacked.
