The 100% literacy is very basically just reading and writing. Everyone in Kerala can, apparently, read and write. Whether they went to school or not is different.

South Indian Cricketers- I have rarely seen them doing T.V ads.
Maybe they think that playing for the country is above all.

Dravid-well he does advertise
Sree -only recently though
VVS -havent seen him in an ad
Srinath-did the project tiger ad
Venky- doubt if he was ever offered a contract
