Not even Briggs XI manager Shaun Briggs could turn Spinners United CCC around, when recently asked about his time in charge he was quoted as saying "I feel sorry for the manager with that bunch of slackers, there are a few prospects in there but the majority of the team seems disinterested at the moment and needs a major attitude adjustment!"

Manager Announces goal for the season​

The Spin today announced that his Spinners United CCC are aiming to not be in the bottom 2 of V25 this season. In the future he is hoping for eventual promotion when his team is reshaped

Keep your head up mate, I was like that once. FOrget results for the time being, work on finances. If I could make a suggestion, I wouldn't focus on results now, concentrate on finances. Stop any investment in your Youth Academy (I spend ?10,000 a week on mine and it hasnt produced one decent player yet). Don't buy any more players, save up until you have enough money to buy a bowler who takes wickets for fun or a batsman with a 3-figure average. When they start winning games for you, use the money to build up the rest of the squad. Also, make sure you keep the squad at 20 or less.

Give them some good training, build the team around them, they will be your future if used and trained correctly!

There are some players you have put on the transfer list noone would buy. Unless they have a Respectable or something, I would fire all of those below 2000 BTR. Noone will buy them, so as soon as they come off the transfer list show them the door.

However, you are selling a couple of half-decent players (which I have bid for).
Also, you think you had a bad starting squad, look at mine (Challengers XI). I didn't have one player over 5,000 BTR, I only had 2 over 4000 and yet I have still won all 4 league games against better teams. Shows Battrick isnt so much about the players and the skills, but if you get the tactics right, you have a better chance.

Good luck, maybe when we both get kicked out the PC Battrick competition (unless I get a shock win against Pak_cricketer ) we could play each other.

Well, a test. And one we are likely to fail. They are 2nd in IV.3 and have only lost one match this season. In the PC league they have won 1, lost 2 by default. Their squad looks around equal with ours, but they have 3 stand out players in their ranks.

Spinners United lost by 200 runs to New York after Chanderpaul made a big century followed by a batting collapse for United. The bowling was too expensive and the batters didnt turn up. There was no urgency. Even the 48 scord by Duncum took 74 balls. No good really.
