I am sure they have each contradicted themselves within this trial and spanning the entire saga about a hundred times each. Desperate times call for desperate measures, I suppose.

He'd already pleaded guilty.

Sentencing should be soon, possibly by end of today, almost certainly by the end of the week. I'm expecting custodial for Butt and Asif. They can face a maximum of 9 years in jail. Doubt it'd be that long, but a prison sentence is a very real possibility.

The system works :thumbs

Jury finds Salman Butt and Mohammed Asif guilty of spot-fixing, with Butt facing up to seven years in jail. :facepalm

Who would have thought 'playing (with) cricket' would be this costly. Too harsh!

Too harsh? You're too kind, maybe. They cheated, cheated whole of the country!

Hmm..How will you react if someone betrays yours country? Give him dinner in 5 star Restaurant?

Deserved punishment. So I am not aware of Amir story. Did he too got similar punishment or just 2 years ban?

I dont know what are the rules regarding their criminal liability, but the ban ICC has given them is fair.
