I know you guys would be thinking what is wrong with me when there two new games around but am struck with Cricket 2004. I have both the new games but still can't get good results. With Cricket 2005, it is way too slow, although batting is excellent bowling is too boring and it has already grown on me. Less I mention about BLIC bowling the better, CPU teams can't even get to a 3 digit scores. Now I have gone back to Cricket 2004 and after having patched up the AI(yes yet again) I have started to enjoy more than what I used to. I have different patches for batting and for bowling. I play with !xspeed set at +1.62 prompting me to finish every ODI in about an hour.
I thought why not update my scores here so that others take up Cricket 2004 again and we see some more patches coming up for this stable game.
Unfortunately at the receiving end on 3 occasions and winning only 1 game so far against the Indians. I am playing as Sri Lanka and have had to struggle to put a decent score on the board. I batted and bowled very well in the 3rd ODI. Apart from that game I have been **** poor. Playing against the new look Indian team I should have thrashed them playing for Sri Lanka but haven't even got close to thrashing so far. Trailing by 3-1 in the 7 ODI series, it's a tall order to make a come back.
I have had my moments scoring the only 100 in the 3rd ODI and bowling like a master as Murali. It is astonishing how when bowling for Murali invariably we return good figures. I have realised this a touch too late, nevertheless having good time with Cricket 2004.
There have been many memorable moments and I have recorded those videos. Will upload it once the series is finished.
BTW have a look at the scorecards, they do have a touch of realism.
