Well if a county doesn't renew a players contract, then you get a chance to sign them along with other county sides.

There are batting and bowling stats, all cricket stats basically. But there are no player ratings like in FM, those are all hidden from the user. So you use second team averages, or wage demands to try and judge a players ability generally.

Coaching is better in this version, you are able to work on different batting techniques, such as front foot, back foot, off side leg side etc, same with bowling.

I am pleased to announce the promotion of two youth players from the 2nd team. First we have Hoggart, who is thought to be a distant relative of the Yorkshire and England fast bowler Matthew Hoggard. Hoggart has had a good season in the 2nd team averaging 18 with the ball.

Derek Anthony has also been promoted.
Anthony averages 50+ in the second team and also makes his debut.

A glorious performance from the bowlers on a pitch that was dodgy throughout the whole game. My youth batsmen are finding it hard, but i think i will stick with them as much as i can, i am sure they will turn out to be great players. Tahir has to be the signing of the season, this guy takes 10fers for fun, seriously, i am expecting the England call any time now, so i will have to strengthen my bowling in the off season.

I have ecluded the 20-20 this year from my journey. However since i have reached the semi final stage i have decided to include brief results from the game.

I play Lancs in the quarter finals.

I batted hard and aggressive in this game, exactly like i bone my Mrs. It paid off, got a really good score for a Pro 40 game and was always confident of defending it. Hardwick played a blinder of an innings, and really setup the game for me. Kieswetter provided decent support.

A crushing victory, but i have to thank winning the toss for this one. Edwards and Carberry put in a huge partnership first up. Swanton also made an aggressive century batting with the tail. A good all round performance which sees me just climb above Kent into 1st place.

It was a meaningless game but the players kept their focus to gain another impressive victory. Despite losing the toss, and Glam setting a good target, i surpassed it easily, thanks to three middle order century's. Munday and Admire were missing, so it wasn't my best bowling attack either. This puts the gloss on a great season which has seen my win the CC, Pro 40 and 20-20.

Lol i have had a youth keeper that has come through, and he looks the best out of what i have. I will keep Kieswetter and Spurway though, Gazzard has already been released. I also got another fast bowler through the youth side with an average below 18.

Anyway, i may well finish the story here, as i have won everything now in two years.

Well, i have never ever finished a story, and i have started about 10.

I have completed two seasons, won everything. Now is the perfect time to quit.

I will still continue playing my save though, as i have never had so many good players after just two years.
