It's not loot, it's Purchasing Power Parity
Even though standard of living looks different through the lens of outsider, it is technically worse then actually have a decent salary based in India now a days. So I still stand by that $10 is a lot of money when they charge 100 ($1.25) for Indian friends.
But much less people in India can reach that salary when compared to the USA
