I like the idea of Tom. There have been few members who have been starting similar stories compared to their previous one's and they promise that i will continue this story for a longer period though their story dies after 2 or maximum 3 weeks. User2010 seems to be concentrating on his story very much it seems that his story will run for a long time. If he can continue a story on Bangladesh for a long time then why can't other people continue their story with bigger teams ex-Aus,Ind,SA etc. For me the best stories of the forum at the moment are Surendar's stories,India's Journey To WorldCup and Born to Fight for Success, An Untold Story! User2010's Go tigers go-A Bangladesh Story. TheGreemSim's new story also looks promising. First story which is India's Journey To WorldCup is a great example for all of us to see that how long a story can run its been running for more than 3 and a half years and still Surendar enjoys updating it. My idea would be if any one create's more than 2 stories in 3 months then he should get an infraction and 1 week's ban. :)
warning first then ban I reckon.

@User2010
I would do one but I don't have any ideas of ratings and i'm very busy with school.

@TheGreemSim-Yes,Warning first and then ban.

I also think the decline of the stories forum is somewhat down to the readers. Whereas a few years ago all comments would be constructive, every update would be read thoroughly and all stories would be given a chance, now people only glance through updates, only check stories that involve teams they support and post brief and spammy comments that mean nothing to the reader. Although you do write stories for enjoyment or experience of writing, whenever an update gets little or no response it does make the writer wonder why he should bother. I know this isn't going to change and many stories are going to continue to end quickly, but I just thought I would post looking at it from the other point of view.

No, that is not the case with me. I read all of Harshshah's story even though I had no interst in the team. I just look for good storylines.

Yes, I'm sure I speak for most authors when I say that I wouldn't mind a bit of constructive criticism. I'd much prefer being toldl what I'm doing wrong than told simply "Good Update!"

But I bet you haven't read any of mine, maybe Griffo's, TGM's and some others. It seems most guys who view the story forum only view their mates' threads and don't even bother reading the quality out there by us non-Asians. There, I said it. It seems the ████ that gets churned out by many members is more popular than the quality we post because of our ethnicity. It's not racism at all, so don't think that that's what I'm saying, it's just neglect by many people because we are not people that you talk with. Aditya is a great example of someone on the opposite spectrum to that.

A-MEN! This is incredibly true. And is something me and Jack have actually discussed at length on msn.

Yeah, I have observed that as well. Some stories ( not even stories actually) which are just **** get more replies or more attention than they actually deserve. I've also observed one thing. When one of the members starts something new, others who are his friends or whatever have to do that as well. I mean, I saw someone create a sim and suddenly there was a rush of so many new sims there. Just the rat-race for virtual glory maybe. These people need to get a life.

*cough* Cricket League's Forum *cough* It's like sheep, one does something, the rest follow.

I can speak from experience of trying to get people to comment on an ashes story I had, admittedly the updates were erratic. But I just couldn't get the comments as I wasn't friends with the people.

i must admit, i am particuarly bad when it comes to not going through with stories.

however, i'm not the only person who does this, and as i want to see the forums continue to improve, i think introducing the warning and then the ban would be a good idea to stop this.

And, many of them are the same people really. I'm also surprised that those are the people who actually get promoted. If you get, what I mean. *Doesn't mean the story forum staff*

I reckon a few things need to be outlined. At the end of the day if there name is not blue, green or red you don't need to worry about them being promoted. There is no authority there, they are just doing the crap job that none of the staff want to do.

Secondly, Jack is true. There is a huge problem with Asians in the story forum. Back in the old days there was a good balance from all over the globe and we actually had Asian members in this part of the forum with a good grasp of English. Now though, a lot of the more..............suspect members............have come here from the 07 Downloads and Cricket Leagues forum and have frankly ruined ths forum and I wish they would go back to those silly forums. They are like a plague of locusts ruining every part of the forum they go to with their stupid posts and immaturity.

They have no concept of grammar or infact how to keep to a basic written plot. They just stick with their Asian mates stories which are abysmal and make no sense, as if I can't understand their English when it is my first language I sure as hell doubt they can.

To solve this I'm not too sure. I personally would be up for far stricter moderation regarding comments in this part of the forum as to who does that......? However, I have been at this forum for a long time and frankly I have never seen this particular section of it in such a mess. It is pretty sad considering it did use to be one of the best parts of PC.
